Behind the Loom

Woven Dreams: Where Threads Meet Soul

In the heartbeat of Indicharkha, where modern style flirts with tradition, magic happens—thread by thread, dream by dream. Our fashion comes with stories— of authenticity, of hands that care, and souls that stitch purpose into beauty.

Our artisans are the heartbeats of our brand, and their work, their passion, makes every creation a masterpiece.

Meet Amrita, a young mother from a small village in Rajasthan. Amrita found herself inheriting her grandmother’s loom after she passed away. What started as a way to keep her grandma’s memory alive soon turned into a passion. Now, Amrita blends the deep reds of her village’s clay soil with the crisp blues of the early morning sky, creating bags that are bold, daring, and alive with the colors of home.

Vikram is a quiet artist who found solace in the rhythmic clicks of the loom after his family’s farm was washed away in a flood. He’s a man of few words, but his designs speak louder than most conversations. Inspired by the lines of nature, Vikram’s creations mirror the waves that once took everything from him, transforming loss into beauty, and sadness into strength.

And of course, there’s Deepa, the trailblazer. Born into a family of potters, Deepa decided to break tradition and teach herself the art of loom weaving. Today, she is known for her intricate geometric patterns, which she says are inspired by the ancient temples of Rajasthan. Deepa’s work is a reminder that sometimes, it’s the path less traveled that leads to the most beautiful destinations.
